1. Quick Installation

For WordPress & WooCommerce stores, simply install our official plugin.

  1. Download and install the Smart Prefetch plugin from the WordPress repository.
  2. Activate the plugin in your WordPress dashboard.
  3. No further configuration is typically required. The plugin will automatically add the necessary prefetching scripts to your site header.

3. Step-by-step WordPress Plugin Installation

Login to your WordPress Admin Dashboard

Go to yourdomain.com/wp-admin and enter your credentials.

Navigate to Plugins

In the left-hand sidebar, hover over “Plugins” and click on “Add New”.

Search for Smart Prefetch

In the search bar on the right side of the “Add Plugins” page, type “Smart Prefetch” and press Enter.

Find the Plugin

You should see “Smart Prefetch” by the developer.

Install the Plugin

Click the “Install Now” button next to the Smart Prefetch plugin.

Activate the Plugin

Once installed, the “Install Now” button will change to “Activate”. Click “Activate” to enable the plugin on your website.

4. Verification (Optional)

You can skip this step if you are not comfortable with developer tools. The dashboard will automatically update once traffic is detected.

To confirm Smart Prefetch is active and working correctly immediately:

  1. Open your WooCommerce store in a web browser.
  2. Right-click anywhere on the page and select “Inspect” (or “Inspect Element” / “Developer Tools”).
  3. Navigate to the “Network” tab within the developer tools.
  4. Refresh the page.
  5. In the network requests filter box, type index.min.js.
  6. Look for a script named index.min.js originating from https://pub-cdn.smartprefetch.link/.

If you see this script loading, Smart Prefetch is successfully integrated!
